Students in this program:

  • Are taught by working professionals. Receive intensive and complete instructions in Design & Technical Production.
  • Are given opportunities free of graduate student competition.

The Design/Technology program includes a comprehensive study of theatrical design and production–followed by four semesters of intensive studio classes in the student's area of specialization (Scenic, Lighting, Costume, and Technical Production Management). The program is unique in that there are many opportunities for the student to gain practical experience in the design or technical production of our mainstage season, as well as many studio productions. Outside professional work is also encouraged.
